I was very honoured to have won the Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire and Cambridgeshire Wildlife Trust photo competition for a second year running with this image of Great-crested Grebes. This year the competition was sponsored by Fujifilm UK with a first prize of £1500 of Fuji camera equipment.
Very honoured to have had this image of a Moorhen through pink mist as the sun rose featured in the Wild Planet Photo Magazine.
I was honoured to be presented with the SINWP Bird Photographer of the Year 2018 trophy by Colin and Ben Jones from the Society of Photographers on the 7th September. The competition raised a nice donation of over £1600 for the RSPB.
I was extremely honoured to have won the SINWP - Bird Photographer of the Year 2018 with this little owl image. So much effort was invested in capturing this image so I was thrilled to have won that prestigious competition.
It’s been a great week for me in terms of recognition of my photography. This Grebe through the mist image was chosen for the Wildlife Trust 2019 calendar along with my Little Owl image. Quite a week !!
I was very pleased to hear on Friday thats this image won the Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire photo competition with a great prize. It will also make their 2019 calendar and front cover. I’m looking forward to the award ceremony on the 17th September.
Very honoured to have my Little Owl in flight printed in the The Times, a national newspaper here in the UK.
I recently had the honour of having one of my Barn Owl images featured in the April addition of the BBC Wildlife Magazine and winning “ Editors Choice “. One of my greatest passions is watching and photographing Barn Owls in the wild and it’s an added bonus when they are seen in the wonderful golden light at the end of the day.
I was thrilled to learn that this wild Little Owl image which was photographed in 2017 as part a project I ran through the summer was awarded highly commended and 7th place in the “ Birds in Flight “ category of the Bird Photographer of the Year competition. Quite an honour considering the number of entries and quality of the competition.
In 2017, I was delighted to be asked whether I would contribute images for an upcoming book dedicated to Owls. At the time I was heavily involved in photographing Tawny Owl images at night, so I was very happy to provide images to that section of the book. The Owl Book has now been released, with lots of amazing images and information contained inside. Its available to purchase through Amazon
