A quick look back to last year…

Let's take a moment to reflect on one of the most cherished memories from last year at the Badger Set. It was a truly unforgettable occasion when the adorable cubs took their very first steps above ground, accompanied by the protective presence of the dominant male. This heartwarming scene captured the essence of family bonding and resilience in the wild.

In the video provided, you'll have the opportunity to relive this magical moment. Keep a keen eye as the camera captures the two youngest cubs being gently guided towards the set entrance next door. As they eagerly explore their surroundings, you'll witness the joyful anticipation building up.

Then, prepare to be enchanted as the matriarch of the clan, their mother, makes her appearance alongside the eldest of the three cubs. Their reunion is a testament to the strong familial ties that bind them together. Listen closely, and you'll hear the chorus of excitement echoing through the woods as they communicate with one another in their unique language of vocal calls.

It's moments like these that remind me why I spend so much time in nature, and i invite you to immerse yourself in this enchanting next journey with the Badger Clan.

Update: 10th April 2024

Let's begin this year's story with a video showcasing the previous year's badger cubs. They've undeniably grown, a lot spending the initial half-hour after sunset foraging and playing in front of the main set entrances. It's intriguing to note that the set isn't solely inhabited by badgers; I've been astounded by the number of rats coexisting with them. These rodents frequently venture out, consistently setting off the camera.

Given the events of last year, I anticipate the emergence of this year's cubs in approximately 3-4 weeks time. Lets hope we get fantastic views again.

Stay tuned for further updates.
